Brisbane Live Music Week Sunday March 22nd, Various Locations

Live music performances will be free flowing for a week starting this Sunday, with venues all over the city getting involved. Highlights for Sunday include Kingswood @ the Triffid, Sun Kil Moon @ the Hi Fi and Xavier Rudd @ the Tivoli. 

[Brewsvegas] Launch Party Saturday March 21st, Fish Lane, South Brisbane

After the success of last year’s Brewsvegas festival, the planning for this year’s edition started pretty much straight away. Welcome in the festival this year with a big launch party filled with beer, music and food trucks. 

[Brewsvegas] Death Valley Keg Bot Battle Off Sunday March 22nd, Southside Tea Room, Mornington

Keg Bot is a tiny computer chip that is used to measure beer pours to plainly precise amounts. It will be road tested this Sunday in a head to head battle between two breweries; Killer Sprocket and Moon Dog. 

[Brewsvegas] Stone and Wood’s Surfari Sunday March 22nd, Wandering Cook, Fish Lane, South Brisbane

Grab a beer and catch a surfie flick at the wandering cook. This event, brought to you by Stone & Wood brewery is just one of many events that the Wander Cook will host for Brewsvegas. 

The Choose Your Weapon Series Friday March 20th, New Globe Theatre

Some of Brisbane’s best bands will gather to pay tribute to two of the most influential groups in 60s avant garde; the Velvet Underground and Iggy and the Stooges. 

Garden All Weekend, QUT Art Museum

Garden draws on Voltaire for inspiration and brings together a collection of works that appropriately capture the aesthetics of well cultivated gardens.
