Perth Weekend June 5-7

What’s happening in Perth this weekend?

City Wine June 5/6, The Urban Orchard, Perth Cultural Centre

This weekend, wines from throughout WA will come to Perth in this pop up venue at Urban Orchard. Boutique winemakers will be onsite offering tastings with tapas supplied for food.

The Last of La Lapeta Saturday June 7th, Grower’s Green Farmer’s Market

Unfortunately it’s heading into the time of year when not many people are interested in cold treats. Consequently, Perth’s favourite Mexican icy pole makers are going on hiatus over winter and will be cd rating the break this weekend. They’ll be at the farmer’s market on Sunday clearing out their unique flavours at bargain prices.

Mariko Mori: Rebirth All Weekend, Art Gallery WA

Tokyo-born, London and NY-based, Mariko Mori is one of the most prominent artists of our time. Through this immersive installation,  she explores life, death and rebirth, with the use of lights, drawings, photographs and videos.

LURCH & CHIEF Live Saturday June 6th, Mojo’s Bar, Fremantle

Melbourne-based psych-rock band LURCH & CHIEF are in Freo this weekend to celebrate their much anticipated sophomore EP. The EP was recorded in the band’s spiritual home after a breakthrough year in 2014 seeing them selling out shows around the east coast.
