What’s happening in Adelaide this weekend?
Wine Capital on Holland Saturday June 20th, Market Shed on Holland, Holland Street
Adelaide is the self-proclaimed wins capital of down under, and this Saturday you can make your way to Holland Street to find out why. Over 50 winemakers from around the state will join the usual lineup of food stalls. Don’t forget to download the 365 Days of Wine and Food app to get your free tasting glass.
R.M. Williams Annual Sale All Weekend, Wayville Showgrounds
Over 11 days, this iconic Australian label will be offering stock at bargain prices. And if you think of R.M. Williams being just for the Cowboys, think again. They’ve been releasing some pretty urban clothes lately.
It’s been a busy year for the Crooked Colour guys, and after finishing their tour with San Cisco, they’re back on the road. This tour wil have more of sticky club rather than indie feel with a live set followed by do set when they spin their facpurite tracks.
A collection of Australian labels will be available for hugely discounted prices this Saturday. Cameo, Keepsake, Finders Keeps, Jagger and the Fifth, all offering peices at $10.
UK DJ, Kutmah, graces Sugar with his presence as part of a Red Bull Music Acadamey and Operatives tour tomorrow night. While he may not be on your radar yet, one set is enough to win you over and have him up the top of your favourites list. He’s supported big guns like Flying Lotus and Shabazz Palaces in the past. Be sure not to miss his solo tour.
Australian singer-songwriter, Eddie Perfect, combines comedy and music through coming of age tales filled with binge drinking and failed romances. Musical backup will come the Australian National Academy of Music.
Francis Street Activation All Weekend, Francis Street, Adelaide
As of this weekend, Francis Street (the street leading up to the state library) will be transformed into the latest outdoor exhibition space.
